Sez Where? finds the parts of a document that relate to your question, even when the document uses different words.

Use it to explore terms of service, privacy policies, agreements, or other documents. You ask in plain language. The app points you to passages in the original text so you can read what it says.

How does it work?

1. Add a document. Paste text, upload a file, or try one of the built-in examples.
2. Ask in your own words. You don’t need to know which phrase or section to search for.
3. Read the source. Select a matching passage to jump to its highlighted location in the document. You can also explore other relevant passages.

What can I ask?

Try a question about something you want to understand: “What happens if I want out?”, “What are they allowed to do with my information?”, or “What am I agreeing to do or pay?”

Sez Where? looks for meaning, rather than requiring an exact keyword match. Its results are passages you can check in the document, rather than a rewritten answer.

Which files can I use?

You can paste text or upload a PDF, Word document (.docx), plain-text file (.txt), or Markdown file (.md). File extraction can miss formatting or content, so check that the text you need has loaded.

How should I read the results?

Passages are ranked by estimated relevance to your question. A high score does not guarantee that a passage answers it, and a missing match does not prove the document says nothing about it. Read the surrounding text and any related sections before drawing a conclusion.

If only part of a document has loaded, results cover that part. Sez Where? helps you locate text; it does not provide legal or other professional advice.

What happens to my document?

When you ask a question, your question and document text are sent to an AI service for processing. Your last document is also saved in your browser. See our privacy policy for processing, storage, and sharing details.
